★Whiter than Snow（雪よりも白く）

☆全般的にスタンダードな賛美歌のナンバーを中心に収録しています。　２曲目の「This is the Day」はちょっとアップテンポの曲で、わりとすぐに乗っていけると思います。

・４曲目「Sweet Little Jesus Boy」はこのCDの中で唯一のアンプラグドで、Ayaのソロ曲。　ウッドベースの響きが何とも温かく心地良いです。

・６曲目の「Whiter than Snow」（part 1）はソプラノサックスのソロで、ケニーG（アメリカの有名サックスプレイヤー）を思わせるようなしっとりとした音です。賛美歌の曲を少しアレンジしていますが、曲調は同じ。　７曲目に来る同じ題名の（part 2）とのアレンジの違いを比べてみると面白いですよ。　

・７曲目「Whiter than Snow」（part 2）は歌を特に聞かせる為に、バックはキーボード１本。　じっくり聴いて下さい。

・８曲目の「His eyes is on the sparrow」はどうしても日本語ではこの曲の雰囲気が出ないので、オール英語（最後にちょっとだけ日本語が入っていますが）です。　この曲はAyaがアメリカで黒人ゴスペルに出会うきっかけになった曲でもあり、どうしても省けませんでした。　聖書のマタイ伝に、【二羽の雀が１アサリオンで売られているではないか。だが、その一羽さえ、あなた方の父のお許しがなければ、地に落ちる事はない。あなた方の髪の毛までも１本残らず数えられている。だから、恐れるな。あなた方は、たくさんの雀よりもはるかにまさっている。】　と言うイエス様の言葉があります。　この言葉から来る歌だと思いますが、゛こんなちっぽけな自分なんか・・・！"と思うすべての人に生きる希望を与えてくれる歌です。　日本語で歌を紹介出来なくてとても残念ですが、暇があれば一度訳してみて下さい。　心にしみますよ〜(^_-)

・９曲目の「Precious Lord, take my hand」は賛美歌の元の曲を少しアレンジして最初に歌い出し、次の゛All　Right！"　のKenの掛け声でキャロルキング（米の有名アーチスト）の「You've got a friend」の曲に歌詞をかぶせてアップテンポに楽しく歌ってます。

・最後の曲「Amazing Grace」は2人にとって思い出深い曲。　91年に2人が出会って初めてデュエットしたのがこの曲です。　特別の思い入れの曲として最後に入れました。　この曲だけは最近、新しいオリジナル曲を歌う事の多くなったステージでも、必ず歌う曲です。　いつまでも歌い続けたい歌です。　本当言うと、2番3番の日本語の歌詞も入れたかったのですが、あまりに長くなるという事であえなくカットしてしまいました。　でも、もう一度オリジナル曲で新しいCDを作る時、また入れたい曲です。
